Assessment
At The Mind & Psychiatry Clinic we offer both face-to-face and online consultations.
We understand that you may be speaking about your mental health for the first time and that this can be daunting. Often there can be an overlap between different symptoms and people are unsure where to start.
Our comprehensive psychiatric assessment ensures you receive the right diagnosis and an evidence-based treatment plan. Our initial assessments are 90 minutes long, designed to give you the time to explore your symptoms and not feel rushed.
Please note some conditions — e.g. ADHD and ASD — require specialist assessments. More information about these can be found under the ‘Services’ menu.
Treatment Plan
At the end of the assessment we discuss with you a summary of our findings and provide a formal diagnosis (if appropriate). We will provide a full medical report, which can be shared with your GP.
We will discuss treatment options moving forward and build a holistic treatment plan that meets your needs. This may include further follow-up appointments with our clinicians or referrals to other trusted services, dependent on clinical need.
Urgent Assessments
We do not offer any emergency or crisis assessments. If you need urgent support, please contact NHS 24 on 111 for a same day mental health assessment, or attend your local emergency department.
